Orlando Bloom nacio en Canterburky, Kent, Inglaterra el 13 de febrero de 1977.El hombre que el conoció como su padre, Harry Bloom, un legendario político activista quien lucho por los derechos civiles en sudafrica. Pero Harry murió cuando Orlando tenia 4 años.
 Cuando Orlando tenia 13 años su mamá le revelo que su actual padre, Colin era su padre biológico.
Orlando participo en obras que se ralizaban en su escuela y en el teatro local. Cuando era un adolescente Orlando obtuvo su primer trabajo.
A la edad de 16 años el se mudo a Inglaterra.
Como muchos actores jóvenes, el también audicionó para numerosos personajes de televisión. 


En 1998 Orlando tubo un accidente y quebró su espalda, pero su recuperación fue rápida y regreso al escenario.
Trabajo en la película " el señor de los anillos".
hoy en día es uno de los mas codiciados actores en la industria.
